We’re now into week 6. Weird to think we’ve only been here for 6 weeks, feels like we’ve been here forever, in a good way! We spend the week still on our fitness kick in an attempt to be beach body ready by the time we get to Sydney. So most mornings involve some kind of cardio or circuit training, which is fun! The weather makes it so easy to want to exercise. Read more
Month: October 2016
Days 30 to 34 – BIKINI BODY
Friday 21st October – Monday 24th
Friday we started our bikini body fitness regime! I designed an exercise program for myself and Erin to follow in a bid to get beach body ready. At the last house we did attempt running, but it was super inconsistent. This time , in Wodonga, theres more will power and more places to exercise. Obviously you can exercise anywhere, but here in Wodonga they have lots of walking trails, bike routes and paths, outside gyms and open space. Theres also lots of water sports available.
Mini Circuits – FITNESS WHEN TRAVELLING
So myself and Erin have been trying to get into shape, ready for Xmas on Bondi beach!! I designed a little program for us to follow. Everything in the program can be done anywhere, ideal for us as we travel.
Days 18 to 20 – SPIDER ATTACK
Sunday 9th – Tuesday 11th October
Sunday we were meant to go to Phillip Island, but after a super busy couple of days we decide not to. Mainly because it would involve getting up early and a long drive. We honestly are the worst backpackers ever. Truly awful. Anyway, its nearing to the end of our house sit so we need to make sure the house is spotless and comfortable for when the owners return on Wednesday.
Day 28 to 30 – LILO AND STITCH
Tuesday 18th October to Thursday 20th
Still being a little ill (seriously, stupid hostel), we haven’t been doing much. Its been nearly a whole week of just mooching about. Feels like a holiday! We are literally, the worst backpackers ever. We couldn’t manage a hostel for 3 nights, and now we’re in an amazing house with double beds, wardrobes, giant bath tubs and a nice back garden. House sitting is definitely the way forward. Never again will I pay for a hostel, no matter how cheap! Especially since catching this disgusting hostel disease – that’s lingering around like those last annoying drunk people at a party (we’ve all been there).
Day 24 to 27 – WODONGA
Saturday 15th to Monday 17th October
Today we start our new house sit. We’re heading to Wodonga, near Albury. Its right on the border of Victoria and New South Wales. So it works perfectly for the route we hope to take, making our way to Sydney for Christmas and New Year! After a nearly 4 hour train journey we arrive in Wodonga and are greeted by the young girl we will be house/puppy sitting for.
